I highly recommend Riad Edwards Photography to capture any life event you might want to document in photos. Riad did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Obviously since I'm recommending him our photos turned out beautiful. A good photographer produces much more than beautiful photos however. From the first time we met Riad he put us at ease. After having an engagement session with a different photographer that felt awkward and forced, we were a little apprehensive when we met up with Riad for our "real" engagement session. He had already spent time scoping out the location (Mcmenamins Edgefield), and he had a bunch of shots in mind. He chatted with us while we were doing the shoot and it felt natural and basically like we were just hanging out with a friend. He gave us guidance and instructions when needed, but for the most part we just spent a couple of hours enjoying each other's company and documenting our lives. The images we received truly captured the love and intimacy that my now wife and I feel for each other. 

Fast forward to the wedding... 
If you haven't gotten married yet, it's hard to be prepared for all of the emotions you'll feel on your wedding day. You're excited, you're stressed out, you're anxious, and everyone you care about is about to show up FOR YOU! No pressure or anything. Riad got there early and got right to work. Of course we weren't ready when we said we would be, but he just adjusted to our timeline and got some incredible candid shots of the flowers, our nieces and nephews, the venue, etc. When we were finally ready, we did a first look session, in which Riad captured the look on my face when I saw my wife for the first time in her dress, right before we were going to walk down the aisle. These photos are so meaningful; they fill us with warmth and love every time we look at them.

My mom had a list of family combo photos she wanted and Riad totally accommodated her list. She actually declared his photos the best wedding photos she's ever seen, and she's a tough critic, so that's pretty high praise. 

In case you didn't want to read the novel up there, Riad is an exceptional photographer because he has amazing natural talent, he is professional, he puts you at ease and knows when to give direction versus when to let things unfold naturally, he's incredibly adaptable, he gets your edited photos back to you promptly and he's worth every penny he costs.

Riad was extremely professional, pro-active, creative, helpful and calming. From our engagement shoot all the way through us receiving our wedding photos he was communicative and easy to get ahold of. What impressed me most about Riad was how many pictures he was able to take of all of my guests and every event. Going through my photos was like watching a movie of my wedding (he took thousands!) and every picture captured the emotions and beauty of the day. Riad had all of my photos ready to go in about 2 weeks and offered that if there was any additional touch ups we needed he would fix it. It wasn't necessary because every picture was perfect. Highly recommend. Mr. Edwards helped my fiancé and I a few months back while we visited Portland. He did a fantastic job! We had another photographer prepared to take our engagement photos but they ended up not being able to meet as planned.
