When I think of Amanda, I think of all the amazing experiences we’ve shared. Some of the most notable being, our shared best man and maid of honor speech. Our Bridesmaids battle for the microphone was so convincing that the DJ stopped us before we could even finish. And who could forget our adventure at Horseshoe Bend? The wind was so fierce that evening, we had to cancel our sunset engagement session, and on top of that, the entire city of Page lost power shortly after. Most recently, I had the opportunity to photograph Amanda and Michael’s wedding, and I can honestly say, it’s one experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s melt.” - Susan Sontag
Thank you Michael and Amanda for sharing an experience as intimate and important as this with me. I had the most amazing time and I was able to capture some beautiful moments. I hope these photos will withstand the test of time and forever bring you back to this day.
