It began, like it so often does, with the bride, surrounded by her family and friends, preparing for her big day, with straighteners and combs a flying, gifts, hugs, tears and laughter were shared. Meanwhile, the groom is getting suited, straightening up his bowtie and preparing himself to see his beautiful and elegant bride.
There was much excitement as Amy arrived at the church’s entrance. I could see the tears dropping from TK’s face as the anticipation and excitement in the room began to build, and as Amy and her father walked down the aisle, I began to feel the emotion in the room well up. The ceremony seemed to last just a matter of minutes, as Amy and TK wasted no time in sharing their vows and exchanging the rings. Before I knew it, they were headed back up the aisle and outside to celebrate, with nothing but smiles on their faces.
After some quick family photos, it was time for the festivities!
Drinks at the delicious and modern DOSALAS Latin Kitchen & Tequila Bar preceded dinner, and gave everyone a chance to personally congratulate the happy couple. Dinner was set on the gorgeous Pearl Deck, overlooking the Columbia River. There’s no denying this is a distinguished location, and the prestige came across in the decor.
As always, the celebration included heartfelt speeches that had both tears and uncontrollable laughter spilling out. This is what the best weddings are made of - raw, unfiltered emotion!
Between the flowing drinks, a bedazzled bottle of tequila, a mouthwatering cake, a heavenly sunset, and the excessive joy that was spread throughout the room, the occasion was one to remember; not only for the newlyweds, but for everyone involved…, including myself.
